WIC provides nurtition education and supplemental food vouchers for Pregnant, Postpartum or Breastfeeding Women, Infants and Children up to age Five.

The preschool Story Hour Program at the Saranc Lake Free Library is offered today and each Thursday through November 15th at 10:30 a.m. in the Children's Room. Call 891-4190 for more information.

Each November, the Old Forge Library hosts an Author’s Visit for the public and students from area schools. This year’s program features author Howard Frank Mosher. It is free and open to the public. Grades 9-11 Town of Webb High School Students will be attending as well as members of the Library’s Book Groups.
Mosher is the author of ten novels and a travel memoir and his latest book, The Great Northern Express, which is both a chronicle of his recent 100-city book tour across America and a reflection on his development as a writer. Much of his fiction takes place in the mid-20th century and all of it is set in the Vermont’s fabled Northeast Kingdom, a region loosely defined by the three counties in the northeastern corner of the state (Essex, Orleans, and Caledonia) His characters are often quirky, reflecting the distinctive peculiarities of the region's reserved residents.

We offer a free meal to the community. All are invited to attend, regardless of income status.
Donations are welcome but not mandatory.

MUST PRE-REGISTER! Free flu vaccine (for adults only) at this clinic. Kids' vaccine will be offered for free for uninsured kids and those with Medicare or Child Health Plus. Kids insured with private insurance will be charged the regular fee of $30.

Saranac Village at Will Rogers will hold a Pinochle Party each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Lower Lounge. Interested players of any level are invited to come. Prizes will be awarded and refreshments served. $1 suggested donation.
