This morning’s FM in the morning program was pre-empted to bring you live coverage of the capture of Saddam Hussein in Tikrit, Iraq.

According to the Associated Press and NPR News, Hussein was captured at about 8:30 pm Saturday night (Iraq time) in his home town of Tikrit during U.S. operation “Red Dawn”. There were no injuries, and no shots were fired. Hussein, according to authorities, is cooperative and talkative.
