Longtime Oyster Farmer, Voice In Katrina Aftermath Dies

Feb 10, 2013 (Weekend Edition Sunday) — Longtime listeners to Weekend Edition will remember Mike Voisin, owner of an oyster processing operation in Houma, La. Former host Liane Hansen visited him several times in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He passed away earlier this month after suffering a heart attack at the age of 59.
