Best CD of 2008?

Sorry it's been a light week for blog posts. It IS nearing the end of November, NPR's gathering up votes for its listener list of best CDs of 2008. So what moved you most this year? The CD you just couldn't take out of the player, the MP3 that ended up on every playlist? Submit your favorite record of 2008 in the comments section of this post. Thanks!

If this shows up twice, forgive me. I don't comment well.

Two sorta new/sorta old albums are at the top of my list:

Sonny Rollins, Roadshow Vol. 1: This is the Rollins live album everyone has wanted for 20 years. To get it, performances from the 80s up thru' 2007 were picked - a lot of jazzbos are already calling this album of the year. A mighty thing.

Bob Dylan, Telltale Signs: Not much left to say about this, except in a better universe, this is how Dylan woulda done it from 69' on.
