Nada Es Real...

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs are one of the "abuelos" of rock en espanol. They're from Argentina, and hit their peak in the late '80s and into the '90s. Their "Matador" is a classic of the genre (and wicked fun to sing along to). Their pan-y-mantequilla is a latinized ska that remains a staple in rock en espanol.

Alert listener Terry of Potsdam hit the ska vein with Los Fabulosos Cadillacs great cover of "Strawberry Fields Forever". Saborrrr!

they did not reach their peek in the 80's and 90's. Their last show was early this century and they sold out a 53,000 seat place in Mexico City. They are back and sold out the same venue in Mexico City in a matter of days - for a show in November. If that is post peek, then peek must have been fucking incredible -

get your facts straight , pendejo

Pendejo? Ouch. That's easy for anonymous to say. BTW that's Debbie "La Rubita" Harry singing the English counterpoint.

Hmmm...let's see. "Matador" came out in 1994. The awesome album "La Marcha del Golazo Solitario" came out in 1999, a record Rock en Espanol historian Ernesto Lechona describes as "the group's studio swan song". And they basically broke up in 2001.

Believe me, I LOVE los Fabulosos. But reunion tours aside, I think the facts speak for themselves - los Fabulosos ruled the 90s. Just because The Police just put on a successful reunion tour doesn't mean they peaked in 2008.

And Anonymous, please keep the language clean here. Thanks.

Actually, I think they peaked while making this video.
