Giuliani claims Bill Owens voted No on healthcare

In an interview with CNN's John King (watch here), former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani claims to know the NY-23 district intimately.

But then he claims that Rep. Bill Owens voted against the Democratic healthcare reform bill.

Nope. Owens voted Yes on the bill, a decision which has drawn fire from the RNC.

Giuliani slams Sarah Palin for intervening in the NY-23 race by endorsing Conservative Doug Hoffman.

"That's a district where we could elect a Republican if we get our act together," he said.

I have a great deal of respect for Rudy, but sometimes he just needs to be quiet and go away.

Sticking both feet in your mouth up to the hips- the great American pass time...

Obviously Rudy and other Republicans haven't learned the lesson of Owens' election: NNYers don't like clueless outsiders meddling in their politics.

Remember, it's the same guy who almost got Bernie Kerik the Homeland Security czarship.

Since he left the NYC mayor's office in 2002, I see little evidence his "popularity" extends beyond the city. Certainly his abortive presidential campaign didn't demonstrate much.
He will run for governor if his opponent is Paterson...he'll back away if Cuomo is the democratic nominee.

Right on Bret4207!
Giuliani is famous and considered a "hero" because he stuck around NYC after the Twin Towers were attacked, as opposed to that other blabber-mouth, Dick Cheney, who burrowed himself in an undisclosed location...a multimillion dollar "spider hole".

Now, if only if Cheney would be quiet and go away.

To people in NYC and the rest of the world, Northern NY is 40 miles north of NYC...anything above that is Canada!

Do you think that anyone really cares?...Republican or Democrat?
