Dem Owens pulls away in fundraising

Bill Owens appears to be pulling away in the $$ race as we approach the finish line on November 3rd.

The Democrat pulled in roughly $491,000, according to his latest filing (which doesn't include his Obama fundraiser this week in NYC).

Republican Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava was second with $234,000 and Conservative Doug Hoffman was third with $205,000.

But in their reporting, The Hill includes a couple of caveats:
But Hoffman self-funded $102,000 and has also reportedly seen donations take off over the last week, with more than $200,000 raised online...

That appears to leave Scozzafava a distant third in the money chase...

As of Oct. 14, the Democrat also had far more cash still on hand to spend -- almost twice as much as Hoffman, and six times more $$$ than Scozzafava.

Bottom line? It looks like Owens and Hoffman will have all the money they need down the stretch. Scozzafava...probably not.

I would take those numbers with a big grain of salt. Not even listed is the $600,000 in adds for Hoffman paid for by an interest group. Perhaps when the whole affair is over the real numbers can be determined, but not until then. Hoffman has the ability to " lend " money to his campaign, it will be paid back to him after the election.
The other two candidates are also well funded. No one can say they did not have the money to compete.
